| Warm-up times were clocked from the instant the printer was powered up from a cold start until the instant it was ready to print. All print times were clocked at our showroom in a controlled setting from identical hardware, applications, and interface, using the " click to clunk " method where possible. We time from the instant we click PRINT until the instant the last page CLUNKs out of the printer. We used a standard desktop Intel/Windows PC running Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and Corel Draw. Individual results can vary due to variations in applications, operating system, CPU speeds, printer settings, communication speeds, job complexity, and many other variables outside the printers control. All times are rounded to the nearest second. |
* HP3505 monochrome cost per page based on fastest printing mode. HP3505 has a "print mostly black" mode which yields a monochrome cost per print of 2.3 cents. All other estimates are using the high capacity toners or bundled toner kits where applicable. Cost per page is rated at 5% coverage each color and is calculated by dividing supplies cost by page yield. Actual cost per page varies depending on coverage, resolution, paper type, and other variables.
