In Short: The Kyocera FS-1800+, like the other Kyocera office class lasers, features the lowest cost per page of any laser in its price class. It produces very sharp 1200dpi output at a real 19 pages per minute. Many paper handling and interface options are available like up to two 500-sheet lower feeders, auto-duplexer, and envelope feeder.
The printer comes standard with PCL6 and PS3 emulations as well as a parallel and serial port and a Power PC processor.
The Bottom Line: Big punch in a small package. The 1800+ is a fast yet quiet desktop laser printer with many options and applications. This printer pays for itself very fast due to the low cost of the toner coupled with how infrequently you need to replace it. The N version will work well in any network environment, Mac, UNIX, DOS, or Windows. We feel this is the best office laser under $1000.
