In Short: The Xerox Phaser 3400 is a solid personal desk-top laser printer. It offers great print quality at 600 dpi and good performance from a controller loaded with 16MB RAM, PostScript Level3 and PCL6 emulations, along with a quick processor. The Phaser 3400 prints up to 17 PPM and holds up to 550 sheets in it's standard feeder. The Xerox Phaser 3400B includes parallel and USB ports. The Phaser 3400N version is equipped with an internal 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet print server.
The Bottom Line: The Xerox Phaser 3400 definitely runs near the front of the pack. PostScript 3 and 32MB allow this printer to work in any environment including Mac OS right out of the box. The Xerox Phaser 3400 gets our editor's choice award in the personal laser printer category.
