In Short: The Xerox Phaser 4400 is a faster version of the N2125, which was a solid and dependable office laser. It offers great print quality at 1200 dpi and good performance from a controller loaded with at least 32MB RAM, Adobe PostScript Level3, PCL6, and a quick processor. The Phaser 4400's print up to 26 PPM and handle paper as heavy as 75 lb. cover stock out of the feeders. The Xerox Phaser 4400B includes parallel and USB ports and is limited to 600 dpi. The 4400N configuration adds an internal 100Base TX Ethernet print server, 64MB, and 1200 dpi resolution. The Phaser 4400DT includes a second 550 sheet feeder and auto-duplexing. The 4400DX adds an internal 10GB HD and maxes out input capacity to 1750 sheet total.

The Bottom Line: The Xerox Phaser 4400N definitely runs in the front of the pack. PostScript 3 and a powerful, feature rich controller, allow this printer to work well in any network environment including Mac OS.
