In Short: The HP LaserJet 4250 and 4350 series are basically faster versions of the LaserJet 4200/ 4300 series, which were dependable office laser printers. Both the 4250 and 4350 models offer good print quality at 1200 dpi and good performance from a controller loaded with at least 64B RAM, (80MB on the 4350), PostScript 3 emulation, PCL6, along with a quick processor. The LaserJet 4250s print up to 45 PPM and the LaserJet 4350s print up to 55 PPM. Both can handle paper as heavy as 32lb (105 g/m2) from their tray and up to 74lb cover (200 g/m2) from their MP feeder. The LaserJet 4250s include IEEE parallel and USB ports while the N configurations and all 4350s add an internal 100Base TX Ethernet print server. The LaserJet 4250TN and 4350TN models include a second 500 sheet feeder and the DTN configurations add auto-duplex. A 500 sheet stacker /stapler are included with the DTNSL configurations. Other optional upgrades include an internal hard disk, local on-site service, additional RAM, a 1500 sheet feeder, and envelope feeder.
The Bottom Line: The HP LaserJet 4250 and 4350 series continue the tradition of quality monochrome laser printers from Hewlett Packard. These will work in the Windows and Mac environments.
